Entry Signal Strength – Pt 8

Welcome to Episode 401 of Trading Talk.
In this instalment, we continue our Finding Winning Signals series with Version 8. Building on the time-based work from last week, we focus on identifying the strongest 2-hour and multi-hour trading windows that consistently generate profitable outcomes.
This week’s testing expands our database of winning signals, as we run deeper optimisations on time brackets and evaluate the impact of larger stop-loss and take-profit levels. These adjustments help clarify how volatility and time-of-day interactions affect model performance.

We also begin preparing the next major signal update. By combining MACD criteria with moving-average conditions from earlier episodes, we lay the groundwork for upcoming model builds that will integrate multiple signal layers.

Key Points

  • Further refinement of profitable 2-hour and multi-hour trading windows
  • Expanded optimisation results added to the winning signals database
  • Testing wider stop-loss and take-profit parameters to assess bracket performance
  • Introduction of the next signal concept combining MACD and moving averages
